Objective

This project successfully elevated the digital reading experience by crafting engaging and interactive magazine covers for Today's Parent Magazine's tablet editions. These covers were designed to:

• Attract and engage digital audiences with playful, thematic motion graphics.

• Capture the essence of the issue's theme—Christmas toys and Halloween fun.

• Ensure seamless playback on tablet platforms to maintain high production standards.

• Encourage users to click on featured stories with ease.

Process & Approach

• Concept Development:

  • Collaborated with the editorial team to understand each issue's theme.

  • Created storyboards for animated sequences to align with the seasonal themes.

• Design Execution:

  • Developed designs using Adobe InDesign for layout, typography and headline linking

  • Animated the covers in Adobe After Effects for dynamic and playful motion graphics.

• Delivery:

  • I exported the final motion graphics as MP4 files and integrated them into the publication using Adobe AEM for tablet optimization.
